I have been conducting my own student surveys over the structure of the classroom, activities and major assignments since the spring semester of 2007. I have also had students write reflections over their experience in the course. By gathering data through these surveys and reflections, I have found that it has contributed valuable insight into how I design my activities and assignments and how I teach them. I use a mix of quantitative and qualitative types of surveys in order to get the most complete feedback I can from the students. I use Surveymonkey.com to collect my data from the students. Surveymonkey.com allows the students to take the survey at anytime and anywhere as long as they can access a computer with an Internet connection.
